Cheryl Kozera
- President
Having been involved in pageant management and production as well
as consultation in contestant training for pageant preparation
for well over a decade, Ms. Kozera attributes her love and passion
of this industry and the personal development of the girls she
has worked with to her success. Her philosophy of treating contestants
as equals, that they are all winners and that they will leave
this experience a stronger, more confident young woman is what
encourages contestants to become involved in her pageants. Having
earned an excellent reputation with many dignitaries, business
owners and organizations, Ms. Kozera makes it her mission statement
to treat all people as important as the next and to make them
comfortable in her presence. Cheryl Kozera has been awarded the
“Crystal Crown Award” from pageant icon, Mrs. Joan Hart, President
of Canada Pageant Management Strategy for her dedication and excellence
in pageant management and production. The production of the Miss
North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant is a dream she has held
for many years and intends to bring Northern Ontario pageantry
into a new era introducing a new approach of stage production
and pageant management.
Stacy Kozera
- Vice-President
Her journey in the pageant and modeling industry began at age 11
when she entered her first model search and was awarded the overall
winner to attend the CMTC Modeling Convention in Toronto. She was
awarded “Grand Overall Child Model of the Year” at that venue and
from there started her pageant career bringing home the titles of
Miss Teen Sudbury 1997, Miss Teen All Canadian 1997, Miss Capreol
2002, Miss Northern Ontario Canada 2002 and Miss All Canadian 2003.
Stacy brought her experience as a certified modeling instructor
teaching many young boys and girls to discover their inner talents
through modeling and dance instruction. It was through her pageant
titles that she was encouraged to pursue the great reward of volunteer
work, working closely with many great charities, some being “The
Crohn’s & Colitis Society” and “Child Find Sudbury Chapter”
and “Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer”. She has
been Master of Ceremonies to many events, most importantly being
the “Northern Star Photo Contest” held in Sudbury in 2002, which
she organized and hosted, donating all proceeds to Northern Ontario
Families of Children with Cancer. Stacey brings many years of experience
through actual pageant participation to this event and will undoubtedly
contribute her skills to make this venue one of a kind. Sue Desrochers
- Executive Director
Susan has been involved in the business management sector for many
years partnering with her husband as an entrepreneur, successfully
managing several businesses through the years. A woman who is able
to wear many hats all while maintaining her professional career
and family life, her exuding charisma enables everyone in her presence
to feel comfortable and welcome, a trait necessary as a pageant
Executive Director. In keeping with the positive image that the
MNORCP continues to exhibit, Susan will be able offer her healthy
lifestyle skills to our contestants as she was recently graduated
as a “Certified Food Advisor”, Also, an avid children’s party entertainer,
her personality is once again apparent as she entertains young individuals
as a professional clown and Barbie, bringing an energy and distinction
to each event she participates in. It is with all of Susan’s positive
skills and qualities that we introduce our Executive Director, as
she likes to be called “Cheerleader Sue” and welcome her endless
energy and positive personality to the MNORCP Team.
Joan (Jeanne)
Hart- Consultant/Communication Specialist
Joan Hart is the author of the 1998 Best Seller Book, "Pageants
- Pageants". Her book is also available at several Canadian
Libraries. Presently; President of the N.S.E.W. - Canada Pageant
Management Strategy & a Communication Specialist. Visual Art,
Artist/"Oil, Acrylic and Water Color". She donated several
paintings to successful Fundraising Events. In 1992, one of her
paintings was the subject of a postage stamp. Creative Fashion
& Pageant Consultant. She directed and hosted the honorary
- Sudbury Northern Ontario Wedding Fashion Show for six consecutive
years. She conducts workshops on Self Improvement at Cambrian
College & Chapters Book Store. Joan also offers to all age
youth, private Pageant Teaching and Coaching with respect to Pageant
procedures, preparation and competition. Former - Coordinator
of the Miss North Bay Pageant, Former - President & coordinator
of the Miss Northern Ontario Canada Pageant and total Pageant
involvement for the past 33 years.
Certified Judge, Joan Hart has internationally judged over 300
Pageants, Also has a great passion for Volunteer work. In 1994
Honorable Mayor Jim Gordon presented her with the Mayor and Council's
Civic Pageant Dedication and Volunteerism Award, for 25 years
of acts of kindess. In 2005, The Capreol and North Bay Pageant
nominated and honored Joan with a special award, "The Joan
Hart's Award", for her warmth, charm and kindess to the girls
and her interest in assuring the success of these Pageants has
enhanced its popularity. Year 2006, President CHeryl Kozera added
this award to her yearly pageant, the Miss North Ontario Regional
Canada Pageant. This Award "Crown, Banner & Flowers"
goes to the Contestant exemplifying respect for all, personality,
confidence, presence & dedication to the pageant industry.
Her recent accomplishment was being a technical Pageant consultant
for the ABC Television movie "Beautiful Girl". She is
better known as the Queens of Queens!
